The newest member of the Michigan State University Police Department arrived on campus last week after months of training that included a stint inside an Alabama state prison.

Cora, an 18 month old yellow Labrador retriever, is the 34th MSU police K-9 officer since the unit was founded in 1984.

According to the Lansing State Journal, Cora brings MSU's K-9 total to 10, the most ever active at one time.  Cora's first task is to play tug of war with her fellow officers
