Mother’s Day Ideas for Michigan Moms

First of all, make sure you get out there and make Mom happy this Sunday on Mother's Day.  If you are ready to give Mom a very special Michigan Mother's Day then let's get busy with the following ideas from the Lansing State Journal.

First and foremost, make a reservation now for a Mother's Day chicken dinner at one of Frankenmuth's two huge restaurants, both famous for chicken dinners and German inspired menus.  Zehnder's and the Bavarian Inn both have buffet or table service meals.

Another idea for Mom, a pot or bouquet of blooming tulips, or turn the colorful spring flowers into an event by taking Mom to the Tulip Time festival in the Dutch heritage filled city of Holland.  This year's festival runs May 7 to 14, with food, parades and more.

One more idea is to go out and play.  Why not take Mom outdoors for some family fun?  Take a 1-1/2 mile stroll at Hawk Island or hit the mountain bike trail at Burchfield Park.
