Many of Motown's most famous performers are buried in Woodlawn Cemetery in Detroit. If you pay a visit, you may be able to find the tombstones of members of the Temptations (lead vocalist David Ruffin) and Four Tops (lead vocalist Levi Stubbs) along wirth Civil Rights pioneer, Rosa Parks.

BUT WAIT...what's with the marker for Michael Jackson??? Wasn't he buried in Forest Lawn Memorial Park near Los Angeles? Well, yes he was. So what's buried under his marker at Woodlawn?

Buried under the gravestone are two coffins filled with MJ memorabilia, collectibles and trinkets that were left by fans on the steps of the Motown Museum in Detroit not long after Michael passed. Woodlawn Cemetery donated this plot so he could be remembered by the Detroit/Michigan fans that made him & his brothers famous.
