Semi trucks and trailers were loaded and strapped down with supplies Sunday to help the farmers in several states that have been hurt by the rampant wildfires.  Working out of Perry, over 40 trucks are making the trip.

According to the Lansing State Journal, supplies will be taken to farms affected by the massive fires in Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas and Colorado earlier this month.

The fires burned off about 625 square miles of land in Kansas and killed one person.  They are comparing that to Hurricane Katrina.

Farmers throughout Michigan and the Midwest have been collecting supplies for the areas affected by the wildfires.  Supplies include hay, livestock feed, fence post wiring and just about anything needed to help out.
