Michigan Still in the Top Ten States for Human Trafficking

A year ago, Michigan was NUMBER TWO in the nation when it came to human trafficking...based on phone calls received by the Human Trafficking Hotline.

THE BAD NEWS:
Michigan is still in the Top Ten.

THE 'BETTER' NEWS:
We have dropped from second place to sixth or seventh, depending which list you see...again, based on calls to the Human Trafficking Hotline. Last year, Nevada was #1...this year, it's California. With summer vacations coming up, it's not a bad idea to read up on this stuff...and pass it along to family members who may be planning trips as well...especially the younger family members.

There are so many misconceptions when it comes to something as sordid as human trafficking but you should read more about it...it happens in all 50 states, NOT just in other countries. Always be on your guard, especially while travelling.

It's not just females, or children that get abducted...it's also adults and males...basically EVERYBODY is not immune to having this happen.
