If you like beer and hearty food along with beard and mustache competitions, then you will love Old Town's Lumberjack Festival Saturday from noon to 5 p.m.

All the fun takes place along Turner Street in Old Town.  Vanessa Shafer, executive director of the Old Town Commercial Association, wanted to keep certain details under wraps.

Shafer says participants should come prepared to flex every muscle.  A group of professional lumberjacks agreed to design an obstacle course, so you know it's going to be the real deal.

One of the highlights on Saturday will include a beard and mustache competition.  The competition begins at 3 p.m.

In between wood carving, log rolling and tug of war, why not treat yourself to some food?  Picnic Food Truck and Morton's Fine catering will be on site.  Here's more from the Lansing State Journal.
