Local Firefighters ‘Fill the Boot’ for MDA

Three mid-Michigan Fire departments...Meridian, Lansing and Delhi townships will team up beginning this weekend in an effort to raise $20,000 for MDA through the annual Fill the Boot drive.  The MDA works to find a cure for more than 40 diseases.

Meridian firefighters will have their boots out for motorists donations Friday through Sunday at the intersection of Okemos and Hamilton roads in Okemos.  If enough firefighters are available, a second location at Haslett and Okemos roads will be staffed.

Across town, Lansing Township and Delhi Township firefighters will also collect donations with their boots at the corner of Cedar and Jolly during the day.  They will also be at Celebration Cinema, 200 E. Edgewood Blvd., for Friday and Saturday evening shows and at Studio C in Okemos.
