Henry Meyer from East Side Fish Fry got his first call from "Diners, Drive ins and Dives" staff eight months ago.

Through the spring and summer, Meyer, a 2003 Eastern High School graduate, took part in several phone interviews with the show's producers.  He shared photos of the eatery's popular in house seasoned wings, talked about his recipes and back story.

So last month, Fieri and his staff spent two days with Meyer at Eastside Fish Fry and Grill.  They also made stops at several other locations as well.

Eastside's segment will air at 9 p.m. Oct. 13.  The episode description describes Meyer's business as "a funky joint frying up everything from wings to pig skins to chicken gizzards.  Here's more from the Lansing State Journal.
