According to WILX-TV 10, tens of thousands of music lovers will be at this weekend's Common Ground Music Festival in downtown Lansing.

With heightened security concerns across the country, safety at the event has become a top priority.  It's a coordinated effort between Lansing Police, State Police, Emergency Management and private security.

This year, the festival will have only one entrance to ensure people's safety.  Event-goers will also have to go through a bag check and screening process.

Items allowed inside the venue include:

Non-professional camera

Lawn or bag chairs

Clear bags

Strollers
