Mid-America Careers ranked Lansing as one of the best Midwest cities for recent college graduates.  The organization was looking for cities that combine low cost of living with high paying jobs.

Lansing came in fourth, higher than Chicago, Cincinnati and St. Louis.  In the Lansing area, college graduates have a median income of $41,989 and a median age of 32.  The cost of living is also roughly 11% below the national average.

According to the Lansing State Journal, the list highlights the Lansing River Trail, Michigan State University, the number of farmers markets, Potter Park Zoo and the city's nightlife as some of the attractive amenities for young professionals.
