Lansing Police Department Eventually Moving

City officials are considering eventually moving the Lansing polce department into the Michigan State Police building in Downtown Lansing.

Budget hearings were held on Thursday involving the relocation of about 70 percent of the department from a leased space on May Street to the Lansing School District's Harry Hill Center.

No time frame was given, although it would appear to be a few years away.
