Lansing Mayor’s Plans for Entrance to Groesbeck Put on Hold

An Ingham County Judge Monday signed an order that halts the City of Lansing's construction of a golf course through a city park.

Circuit Court Judge James Jamo granted the Friends of Ormond Park group's request for an emergency restraining order at the park adjacent to Groesbeck Golf Course.

Lansing Mayor Virg Bernero feels that the driveway will bring more business to the golf course and wants to save it.

It's only a matter of time to see what the judge decides.  Mayor Bernero is confident the judge will take the city's side.  One resident says for the sake of the neighborhood and the kids that play in the park, the judge won't.  Here's more from the Lansing State Journal.
