Mayor Andy Schor has submitted a 2019 Fiscal Year budget proposal which would increase funding for road repairs and facade upkeep.

The $218.6 million budget, which is pending approval by City Council, includes $134.3 million for the general fund.

Compared to dedicated funds, the general fund can be used for a broader range of purposes, including subsidizing other funds.

Currently, Lansing residents often complain about pothole riddled streets.  The majority of Lansing's roads are in poor condition, according to a state rating system.  Here's more from the Lansing State Journal.
