Lansing Group Wants to Welcome Central American Refugee Children

Mlive reports that a group of compassionate people came together to speak out about peacefully bringing the refugee children pouring over the border from Central America to Lansing.  I have to admit I was horrified by the stories of people showing up with guns to protest bringing these children to Michigan.  They. are. Children!  Young children who have traveled hundred of miles and have seen unspeakable violence in their home country.  Lansing has a history of welcoming refugees and they only make our community stronger.  I know there are plenty of people who will not agree with me and I welcome your comments.
