Trick-or-Treat on the Square is a free family-friendly event that celebrates the best of the fall season in the heart of the Greater Lansing region - downtown Lansing.
In addition to collecting Halloween treats at candy stations along Washington Square, attendees can enjoy refreshments of cider and donuts, dance in the street to Halloween-themed classics, face-painting, magic tricks, a hay ride, or be entertained by fire dancers and stilt walkers. While strolling along Washington Sq., kids and their parents can also get acquainted with the variety of businesses that are proud to call downtown Lansing their home.(Lansing.org)
East Lansing

Great Pumpkin Walk

Rain or Shine!
The City of East Lansing hosts the Great Pumpkin Walk each year on the streets of downtown East Lansing. Families are encouraged to bring their children to downtown in full costume to receive free door-to-door treats from more than 50 downtown merchants. Downtown parking will be free from 4:30-8:30 p.m. and there is no starting pointing for the event. For more information, call (517) 319-6930.

“Land of Oz” at the Wild Goose Inn

As part of the Great Pumpkin Walk, Wild Goose Inn hosts the “Land of Oz" event each year. With the assistance of costumed characters, this popular downtown bed & breakfast is transformed into the colorful, enchanting “Land of Oz.”

Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2018; 5-8 p.m.
Stop by the Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum for a night of frightening fun for all ages! Visitors can try their hand at some ghoulish games, make halloween-themed crafts and sink their fangs into scary snacks. MSU's Bug House will also be there to teach visitors all about their favorite creepy crawly creatures.

Safe Halloween on M.A.C. Avenue

Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2018; 5-7 p.m.
Safe Halloween will take place along M.A.C. Avenue, between Burcham Drive and Elizabeth Street. Each year, the MSU Greek community hosts this popular event to provide children a safe environment to trick-or-treat at the various Greek houses, enjoy games and interact with college students in one of MSU's predominantly Greek neighborhoods.

Trick-or-Treating on Halloween Night

Trick-or-treating hours in East Lansing neighborhoods are from 6-8 p.m. on Oct. 31 each year.
