The Lansing City market is set to close at the end of the summer, but now talks are brewing about where to put a new market.

According to WILX-TV 10, a public hearing to discuss that topic is scheduled for July 10th.

Lansing Mayor Andy Schor says tax dollars that were intended to support a market, is no longer serving that purpose.

Mayor Schor says the city has to subsidize the market and right now he feels those dollars are not being used for its main purpose.
