The reason I am posting about this today is the fact that my wife and I shop at Kroger for just about everything.

According to WILX-News 10, Your Breaking News and Weather Authority, hundreds of workers are trying to figure out their next steps after the closure of a Kroger bakery in Ohio eliminated 411 jobs.

It would be nice if they could figure out a way to transfer all 411 people to various Kroger stores or bakeries throughout the U.S. including here in Michigan.

The Cincinnati based company announced the closure of the 90 year old bakery in Columbus on Feb. 11.  Kroger cited the outdated layout and age of the plant's equipment.

The grocery chain says workers will be paid 60 days before receiving severance based on years of service according to a collective bargaining agreement.
