Kelly Clarkson opened up to Nick Grimshaw during BBC's Radio 1 Breakfast Show today (Jan. 13) about her pregnancy with her super cute daughter, River, which was not smooth sailing. If anything, that's an understatement. According to Kelly, it was (quotes via US Weekly) "such a horrible pregnancy ... I was hospitalized. It was just kind of a bad pregnancy, so I had to take off way more time than normal." Yikes!

Thankfully, the pain of pregnancy paid off for Kelly in a major way. She absolutely adores being a mom, saying, "I love it. I love it. [River's] pretty awesome, and my husband is running from me because I want another one."

While we totally encourage Kelly to do whatever makes her happiest, we would like to note that we've been waiting for new music from her for nearly four years now, so if she wants to wait until after her upcoming album, 'Piece by Piece,' is released, we'd be cool with that. No pressure, though.

Thankfully, Kelly added that she's not rushing to have another child too immediately, saying, "I want another one in like, a year."

Right now, she's busy trying to get 'Piece by Piece' out, which is currently slated for a March release (yes!). Kelly also revealed something interesting about her current single, 'Heartbeat Song,' during an interview with Elvis Duran. It turns out that the heartbeat sound in the song actually belongs to River: "... from when she was in my tummy!" Way too adorable!
