In Littleton, Colorado they have found a new use for Toilet Paper.

Road workers place the toilet paper on top of the freshly-laid tar that they use to fill cracks in the street to help it set and keep it from sticking to the tires of auto-mobiles  and shoes as it dries.

From looking at the photos it probably works but it not a very pretty sight.  However the city says that this way they are able to reopen the streets much sooner and it keeps the tar from being tracked around town.  On another good note, the biodegradable paper itself dissolves in a couple of days.

Using toilet paper to help fix roads is apparently being used in other cities and they are finding success with this process.

Not pretty, but if it works....okay.
