Crews in Lansing and East Lansing are picking up brush and limbs brought to curbs.  In most communities, crews will only be going through streets once during the cleanup effort.

The city of Lansing has begun its cleanup today and is asking residents to pile branches into neat piles outside their homes and near the roads.  Length of all branches should be kept under 4 feet.  Storm debris also can be dropped off at Washington Park, 2700 S. Washington Ave.

The city of East Lansing began its cleanup in March and extended it into APril.  The city is not requiring its residents to cut larger branches into smaller pieces.  Any debris that can be raked up will not be picked up.  The Lansing State Journal has more on cleanup.
