According to GM and WILX-News 10, Your Breaking News and Weather Authority, hundreds of hourly employees impacted by General Motors November announcement have stepped up to five plants.

Two of them are in the Detroit area,which they will now be transferring to Flint Assembly.  409 employees from Detroit/Hamtramck and 82 employees from Lordstown, Ohio will be placed into new assignments in Flint.

This morning during the morning show, we also mentioned that 109 Lordstown employees will now be working in the company's Spring Hill, Tennessee facility.

More than 1,500 U.S. hourly employees volunteered to transfer to another location.  GM says more than 700 of them have accepted transfer opportunities at truck, SUV and crossover related operations.

General Motors says there will be more job opportunities throughout the year in manufacturing.  For a list of all states involved, please click on the above link.
