Horrocks, a farmer, started in the grocery business in 1959 as a fruit stand operator in the Lansing City Market. His venture grew and the grocer moved to W. Saginaw Highway.
Jerald Horrocks was a golfer with several holes-in-one, an avid fly fisherman who took annual trips to Alaska later in life and a musician who played piano and saxophone.
Everyone who knew him, loved him.
