PICTURES AND VIDEO: Hawk Island Park From the Eyes of a Drone

Here are some beautiful pictures – shot by a drone – of Hawk Island Park.

It’s a gorgeous Fall day…even though some of the leaves have fallen, there are thickets of color that still stand as the drone flies over.

It’s just another view of our city that you may not have had the opportunity to see before.

Hawk Island features swimming, hiking, concession stand, boating, volleyball, picnicking, fishing, playground and more…not bad for something that started out as a grungy gravel pit off of Cavanaugh Road in the 1940’s!
