Summer officially begins on Sunday, June 21 and there are several ways you can enjoy the summer months throughout greater Lansing.

Let's start with the Botanical beauty at Michigan State.  Take in the fragrant and colorful plants at the W.J. Beal Botanical Garden on the campus of Michigan State University.  The garden is open year round with no admission charge.

Next, explore the Michigan Capitol.  Michigan's Capitol building is loaded with history and elegance.  Free guided tours take place at the Capitol from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays.

How about a tour of the Broad Art Museum in east Lansing.  The museum's Saturday and Sunday tours are a great way to learn more about current exhibitions and the architecture of Broad MSU.  The tours are free and run from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.
