Four time Grammy award winning artist India.Arie will perform at the 32nd Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. holiday luncheon on Monday at the Lansing Center.  There are still a few tickets available.

The singer songwriter has many ties to Lansing.  Her mother, Joyce McMullen, grew up here.  Her father, Ralph Simpson, played basketball at Michigan State University.

Arie has been playing before audiences worldwide since her 2001 debut "Acoustic Soul," often blending more exotic styles with her neo- soul sound.

The Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday Luncheon will take place at 11 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 16 at the Lansing Center.  For ticket information, click here on the Lansing State Journal.
