More GM ignition switch recalls affect models built right here in Lansing.  Another massive recall which affects 8.4 million older vehicles globally as its safety crisis continues to grow.

The latest round of recalls brings the total for the year to 28.9 million vehicles, more than the company has sold in the last three years combined.  7.6 million recalled vehicles are here in the U.S.

The most recent recalls include several models built in Lansing.  They include the Oldsmobile Alero, Chevrolet Malibu  and Pontiac Grand Am, which were made at GM's Lansing Car Assembly Plant.  Here's more from the Lansing State Journal.
