Fruits and vegetables along with eggs, meat and sauces are just a few of the offerings the community will find when the Farmers Market at the Capitol kicks off Thursday.

You'll also be able to choose from soap, honey, beeswax products, popcorn and kettle corn, maple syrup, dog treats and cut flowers.

New this year, the Lansing Symphony Orchestra, which will give two performances, at 11 a.m. and at 1 p.m.  There will also be more food trucks than in past years.

Cooking demonstrations will begin at 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. near the east steps of the Capitol Building.  Here's more from the Lansing State Journal.
