Hackers are getting smarter...and more irritating. The most common are the "telemarketer" calls. YOU know the ones I mean.

Now, there's one that's been appearing in Facebook messages. It reads, "Hi....I actually got another friend request from you yesterday...which I ignored so you may want to check your account. Hold your finger on the message until the forward button appears...then hit forward and all the people you want to forward too....I had to do the people individually. Good Luck! PLEASE DO NOT ACCEPT A NEW ONE FROM ME AT THIS TIME."

Delete that message, even if a friend sent it to you. You will make it possible for your own computer to be hacked.

CBS News has tips on what to do if you've been hacked.

Also, even if a close friend sends you a message that reads "please copy and send to 10 people you know" don't do it. Even if it's from a legit friend, why take chances? Don't pass along chain messages or copy & paste. protect yourself.

Be on your guard.
