Elvis Presley’s Version Of “White Christmas” Almost Banned
Elvis loved "White Christmas" and recorded it in 1957 for his Christmas album. But the song's writer/composer, Irving Berlin totally DESPISED Elvis and tried to coax radio stations across the country to ban airplay of the song.
Even so, Elvis' version topped Christmas charts and ol' Irv slinked away with his tail between his legs.....still reaping royalties from Elvis; version, by the way.
