The East Lansing soccer program has come a long way since the 1970's.  Nick Archer has been along each step of the way and has built the Trojan soccer program from scratch into one of the most successful in the state.

And after 41 seasons on the sidelines, Archer recently announced his retirement from coaching.

Archer, who started the East Lansing program in 1977, guided the Trojans to five state titles, 26 league championships, 19 district crowns and 15 regional titles.

He compiled 660 wins and was inducted into the Michigan High School Soccer Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 2013.  Here's more from the Lansing State Journal.
