East Lansing Costco Opens Friday Morning at 8:00

Costco sits on the former Four Winds golf Course, which closed in 2001.  And now, in 2017, Costco will officially open their doors Friday morning at 8:00.

The store will have about 225 employees, 91 of which transferred from other stores including Brighton, Grand Rapids and Detroit.  About 135 employees were brand new to the company.

The store also plans to be a "good neighbor" within the community through a volunteer tutoring program with local schools and raising money for the United Way and Children's Miracle Network.

So far around 7,700 people have signed up for memberships.  Here's more from the Lansing State Journal.
