Organizers of Detroit's Thanksgiving Day parade have unveiled a float that pays homage to the city's golden era of music.

The Parade Company hosted its annual Parade Preview Party recently.  Guests at the private event got a sneak peek of the Motown Museum float, which was commissioned by Art Van Furniture in celebration of the 55th anniversary of both Motown Records and Art Van.

The 60 foot long float features a replica of the Motown Museum with its historic "Hitsville U.S.A. facade.  According to WILX-TV 10, It also holds a piano that could fit 15 baby grands inside it.

The theme of this year's parade is "Walking on Sunshine."  it steps off at 9a.m. on Nov. 27, at Woodward Avenue and Kirby and ends at Woodward and Congress downtown.
