Saturday at the Detroit Auto Show (I know, I'm supposed to call it the North American International Auto Show) Chevy unveiled a life-sized Chevy Silverado 1500 LT Trail Boss truck - made entirely of Lego blocks.

According to Popular Mechanics, the truck is a new model for Chevy and The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part comes out in theaters in about two weeks, so Chevy partnered with kids from the FIRST Lego Team at Oxford Community Schools (usually they're building working robots made with Lego pieces) and kids from Ralph Waldo Emerson Elementary in Detroit to make this all happen.

How many pieces did it take? 334,544 pieces. The Lego truck weighs 3,300 pounds - about a thousand pounds less than a real Silverado 1500.

It looks pretty cool. Here's the story with photos.
