Deep Fried Twinkies are Coming to Walmart

A new partnership between Walmart and Hostess is about to turn the entire country into one huge state fair with deep fried Twinkies coming to a store near you.

Hostess will release the treat, which comes both in regular and chocolate flavors, nationwide in the mega retailer's frozen food section.

The iconic American snack first appeared on the market in 1930.  But the question is, who came up with the idea to deep fry Twinkies?  His name is Christopher Sell.  Sell would fry them at his restaurant in Brooklyn in the early 2000s.

From there, the not so heart healthy version spread to fairs and carnivals across the country.  Here's more from nbcnews.com.
