ROADSIDE MICHIGAN: Chillermania! off I-75

I took a little Michigan roadtrip of my own and visited Chillermania!, the headquarters of Johnathan Rand, author of the “American Chillers” and “Michigan Chillers” books. It’s located just above Indian River, off I-75 about a half mile off exit 313.

Inside the countryside shop are racks chock-full of his books. The most fun ones are the books written about fictional occurrences in well-known Michigan towns and cities. plenty of reading material for the kids and a nice handful of adult chiller fiction as well.

Chillermania! is a cool stop for you to make on yer next Michigan roadtrip…look for the gargoyles out front and a barn with creepy shapes & figures on it. The author himself is frequently on hand...we ran into him there a couple of tuime, so you may be able to get an autograph, picture or both!

The headquarters are located at 1651 S. Straits Highway, Indian River; just take I-75 to exit 313 and head south for about a half mile to a mile…and take pictures!
