It's official:  Cedar Point is getting a new ride, and it's a big one.  On Wednesday, the Sandusky, Ohio, park announced its newest roller coaster, Valravn.  The dive coaster will debut in 2016.

Valravn will reach a height of 223 feet, pause for four seconds and then treat thrill seekers to a 214 foot free fall vertical drop, getting up to speeds of 75 mph.  The coaster will also flip over three times.

Cedar Point says the Valravn will be the tallest, fastest and longest dive coaster in the world.  There are only two other dive coasters in the United States:  one at the Shei Kra at Busch Gardens in Tampa, Florida, and the other at the Griffon at Busch Gardens Williamsburg, Virginia.

Valravn will bring Cedar Point's total coaster tally to 18.
