Yes! The Red Cedar Development is on hold again, due to issues surrounding the Montgomery Drain.  I learned about the Montgomery drain from Executive Director Julie Powers at Mid Michigan Environmental Council (mid meac), The organization that monitors our rivers and streams. WILX Channel 10 has a story about the drain and how at last nights Lansing City Council meeting many people want the process sped up.  The Drain Commissioner still has to draw up a plan that will keep the storm water and other pollutants from the Frandor Shopping Center and surrounding area's from entering the Red Cedar river.  A healthy river will make for a much better development in the future.  No decisions were made last night and Ingham County Drain Commissioner Patrick Linndeman says there may be more public hearings as the design and cost estimates come in. So as far as the Red Cedar Development goes, we wait.
