According to the Lansing State Journal, Friday's afternoon storm lasted less than 20 minutes, but on Sunday evening 1,238 Lansing Board of Water and Light customers were still without power.

The brief storm caused outages for nearly 10,000 of the utility's customers.  The largest concentration of remaining outages was in East Lansing and Delta Township, where downed trees brought down power lines and poles.

It could be Wednesday before repair crews can completely restore power to everyone.  All Consumers Energy customers (which includes me) who lost power were back online by Sunday morning.

We lost power at my home approximately 5:15 p.m. Friday and didn't get it turned back on until 1 a.m. Saturday morning.  It's very difficult to function in your own home when all the power is out.  Thanks to Consumers Energy and Lansing Board of Water and Light for working over-time to get power back on in all homes.
