Did You Hear a Loud BOOM Sunday Night?

So Sunday night - 9pm-ish - there was this dull BOOM that sounded a distance off. Normally this kind of noise wouldn't be a big deal but when it makes dogs bark, somethin's up.

People in many towns in Ingham, Jackson, Livingston & Eaton counties heard this huge 'thud' that has local webpages buzzin'.

This isn't the first time loud, dull thumps or booms are heard with no explanation.

With the sleet/snow we had that night, could it be winter thunder as one site theorized? But if it was, it would've resounded like thunder, which it didn't.
