Board of Water and Light’s Eckert Power Station Scouted for Transformers 5

Exciting news, the Board of Water and Light's Eckert power station could be the next place seen on the big screen.

Lansing Virg Bernero said, "we understand that they're considering Eckert power station as a spot for the 5th movie in the Transformers series, which is currently being filmed in Detroit."

According to WILX-TV, Bernero says the interest in filming at Eckert could help redevelop the plant after it shuts down.  He also said, "it would be kind of cool to focus on that facility and get national attention."

This isn't the first time action has been called in Mid-Michigan.  Scenes for Hugh Jackman's "Real Steel" were shot in Mason in 2010.  "Batman v. Superman"  in East Lansing during the fall of 2014 filmed at Broad Art Museum.
