Black Bear Plays Tetherball

When I was a kid, I used to play tetherball everyday during lunch break at school.  It was one of my favorite activities growing up during my younger days.

In fact, I loved playing so much, I would ask all of my friends to join me on the playground at North Elementary school here in Lansing.

If you don't know what tetherball is, it's like a soccer ball with a rope attached to it and it hangs from a secured poll in the ground.  You basically have one person on one side of the poll, the other person on the other side, and you hit the ball until the ball wraps around the poll.  

So anyway, the other day I was watching the Late Show with David Letterman and they were showing a video of a Black Bear playing  tetherball.  I started laughing out loud and it brought back memories of me as a kid playing one of my all time favorite games.

I loaded the video for all to see and I hope you find it as funny as I did.  Yes, It's a Black Bear enjoying a fun game of tetherball!
