In a special press conference from the Delta Club at Madison Square Garden, on Tuesday it was announced that the legendary New York musician, Billy Joel, is now the fourth Garden franchise.

Billy Joel has played Madison Square Garden 46 times in his career, and in 2006, 12 consecutive sold-out dates.  As he becomes part of the Madison Square Garden "family," fans will have even more opportunities to see Joel live.

Beginning in 2014, Billy Joel will play a show every month at the Garden, as long as there is fan demand.  It doesn't sound like demand will be a problem, since the first four previously-scheduled dates are already sold out.

Billy Joel will play to a packed crowed at the newly-revamped Garden on January 27th, February 3rd, March 21st and April 18th.  A fifth show was announced at today's press conference, to take place on Joel's 65th birthday, May 9th.  Tickets for that show are still available.  Maybe.

The New York Rangers, New York Knicks and New York Liberty are now joined by the first-ever music franchise, "Billy Joel at The Garden."
