Numerous road projects, ranging from simple resurfacings to an innovative "bridge slide" in Eaton County, will be in full throttle throughout mid-Michigan as the weather gets warmer and the kids get out of school.

Despite huge adjustments for motorists who travel Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard in north Lansing, Okemos Road for a mile south of Meridian Township and an I-96 bridge at U.S. 127, drivers  headaches should be no worse than last year.

Other than the I-96 and Eaton County bridge projects, the Michigan Department of Transportation's focus has shifted to the Brighton and Monroe areas for 2015.

A mile stretch of Lake Lansing Road will be widened and resurfaced as well.
