This week is Severe Weather Awareness Week in Michigan.  If a thunderstorm or tornado were headed your way, would you know what to do?

You should have an emergency preparedness kit ready to go.  It's also a good idea to make an inventory of your household furnishings and possessions, including photos. Then put that list in a safe place.

Perhaps most importantly, have an agreed upon place to go when severe weather hits. State Emergency Officials encourage you to practice this plan later this week during tornado siren tests.  That test is set for two o'clock Thursday afternoon.
