The Kellogg Company located in Battle Creek has announced a redesign of their North American organization.    What this means is that the company is looking into the possib8lity of selling some  of their cookie and fruit snacks businesses.

This could mean the company may be selling cookie brands like Keebler, Famous Amos, Mother's and Murray, and this would also affect the company's fruit snack's business Stretch Island.

So why the changes?  The Battle Creek company  says the possible redesign is meant to show that Kellogg has the right operating model and portfolio, so that they can deliver profitable growth as they move into the future.

How will this affect employment  in Battle Creek, the company said the area may see a loss of around 30 jobs.

The Kellogg company says they need these changes to sharpen their focus and align their resources around their biggest opportunities , that long term will help them sustain growth.
