Arcadia Ales & Smokehouse is getting ready to open this summer in August on East Michigan Avenue.  Tim Suprise , owner of Battle Creek based Arcadia Brewing Company said they want to positively contribute to the beer culture in Lansing.

The Lansing State Journal says it will have between four and six Lansing only beers brewed at the facility.  Once the brewpub opens, it will be the first time a major Michigan brewery will have a brick and mortar presence in the Lansing region since Michigan Brewing Co. closed in 2012.

The Lansing region is currently home to 10 brewpubs and microbreweries.  Suprise said it's the perfect spot to expand.  Suprise started Arcadia in 1996 in Battle Creek.
