Another automaker is installing lifesaving technology to prevent kids from being left in hot cars.  Nissan is putting an audible warning in its 2018 Pathfinder called rear door alert.

The technology detects if a rear door was opened prior to starting the car.  If the door is not re-opened after the car is put in park and turned off, it sets off a series of warnings.

First, a visual on the dash, then a series of chirps through the horn.  For more information, just click here on WILX-TV 10.
