Michigan does have it's share of haunted roads, that's for sure. This time, it's North Adams Road in Addison...but in this particular case, the spirit in question is rumored to haunt three different locations...

THE LEGEND:
Years ago, a little girl was waiting for the school bus when she was struck down and killed by some idiot who was speeding down the road in his car. To this day, she is said to haunt of few areas in Addison:
1) North Adams Road where she was struck down. Some say she can occasionally be seen waiting by the side of North Adams road between 127 and Wheatfield Roads.
2) The local cemetery, where some folks say they've seen her wandering through the graveyard aimlessly, not knowing where to go or where she should be. Also, it's said if you approached her grave, there was (maybe still is?) a toy twirly that starts spinning, even with no wind present.
3) The house she used to live in. The day she was buried, there were strange knocks on the doors of the house, the swings on the outside swingset would go way up in the air, like someone was swinging in them, household items get moved around, doors would open by themselves and the lights go on and off.

Addison is located 20 miles south of Jackson, down US127. North Adams Road is easy enough to find; down 127 south of Addison; as you head south on 127, turn right on N. Adams.

The Hillside cemetery is north of Addison; as you head north out of town, turn right on Junction Road...it's down on the right. See if you can find a marker with a toy twirly on it; of course, it may not be there any longer, either. Vandals have wrecked many of the old classic, historical gravestones so visit with respect.

The house address is unnamed to protect the current owners.

<<< KEEP IN MIND – WITH ANY PLACE THAT IS NOT PUBLIC, ALWAYS GET PERMISSION TO ENTER BUILDINGS, LOCKED CEMETERIES, ETC. TO PROTECT YOURSELF; IT’S NOT THAT HARD. MANY SELF-CALLED “GHOSTHUNTERS” HAVE BEEN APPREHENDED THAT DID NOT GET PERMISSION. >>>
