An abused puppy, found last week in bad shape is doing much better.  The 3 month old Pit Bull was discovered last week at an apartment located near the Lansing Mall.

When the Humane Society first found the little guy, now called Cooper, his chance for survival did not look so good.  Once he was taken in for surgery, the Doctor discovered burns over 40% of his body, those burns they believe are chemical burns, and the poor little puppy was starving and so thin.

Now for the good news.

Little Cooper has been putting on weight (now that he is being fed), he will under go another surgery today.  His care givers are now optimistic that this little guy will make a full recovery.  THE BEST NEWS!

Now that he is safe and being taken care of, the search is on for those responsible for this horrible act of cruelty.  The reward money for anyone with information that leads to an arrest and conviction is not up to $2,500 dollars....and that amount could grow.

The latest picture put out from the Humane Society show how much better Cooper is doing, and he has already gained 4 pounds.  Let's keep this little guy in our prayers as he continues to heal, and when he is ready Cooper will find his forever home.
