The conversation began back in 2015 when Actress Patricia Arquette  accepted  her Oscar and opened up about wage discrepancy in Hollywood.  Instead of just thanking  everyone for her Oscar, she shined a light on a problem that not only affects Hollywood but Main Street America as well.

That dialogue has turned the spotlight on a problem that has existed for years and nothing ever seems to be done about it.  Women, right here in Michigan are making far less then the Men who do the exact same job.  I have never been able to wrap my head around that, how is it possible that in 2016, some Woman who has years more experience, is being paid  far far less than her male counterpart.

As our Daughters start to enter the work force, it is embarrassing to have to say, yes this has been a problem for years, and nothing has been done to correct it.   Even if you have  more experience,  you will make less. that's just the way it is.

In many cases the pay difference between a man and woman is worse now than ever before.

Help keep that conversation going.   Equal pay for equal work.
